What I Learned From Cancer

On October 4, 2015, I shared some things that I learned through this experience I have been walking through for the last 2 1/2 years. Primarily, I talked about truth vs. reality – focus on the truth, whatever the reality. Reality=cancer. Truth=God loves me, He will walk with me through this. “The truth will set you free.”

I don’t have a video of this sermon, but I do have an audio recording, and a (silent) recording of the PowerPoint I used. (They are totally separate files that won’t match up so far as timing goes, but you can “watch along” if you pause the movie of the PowerPoint while you listen to the audio recording.)

My friend Ginny helped me with some visuals as I preached. I drew (traced) two wolf outlines facing each other on two pieces of poster board, mounted on the wall. As I made various points, Ginny taped labels and descriptive words to the two wolves. Pictures of the final products are linked below. And at the very end, my son Nathan and daughter-in-law Leah played and sang a song, which is not on the recording. I have provided a YouTube link of that song by the original artists below.

I loved sharing this message and hope that it is an encouragement to you.
